pediatric health topics

There are so many websites with health information available for parents, but sometimes it's difficult to know which information to trust. Here are some of our favorite websites with extensive pediatric health information from trusted sources.

Bayside Health Library

We are currently updating our Bayside patient handouts and links -- so there will be more coming soon. Meanwhile, if what you are looking for is not included here, please check out one of the trusted sources below.

This is the American Academy of Pediatrics website for parents, with extensive information on pediatric health topics including: "Ages & Stages" (growth and development at each age); "Healthy Living" (diet and exercise information); "Safety & Prevention (safety topics, immunizations); "Health Issues" (diseases and conditions); and more.

This is Nemours Foundation's website for parents, kids and teens, one of the most widely-used and thorough sources for medical information, including General Health, Growth and Development, Infections, Diseases & Conditions, Pregnancy & Baby, Nutrition & Fitness, and much more.

Lucile Packard Health Library

This library includes pediatric patient health information on a wide variety of topics, from Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford.

KidsDoc Symptom Checker

This is symptom-specific advice for parents, for most common pediatric symptoms, including when to call the doctor or seek immediate care, and also home advice for most common pediatric conditions. This is also available for hand-held devices. See "KidsDoc Symptom Checker App" page for links to apps for iPhone and Android devices.
