I am lucky to have grown up right here in Walnut Creek, and am very happy to return to the Bay Area after training and working on the East Coast.
I come from a family of doctors, nurses, and nurse practitioners, and growing up I remember being inspired by their compassion and dedication. It was during a summer volunteering at Camp Okizu, a pediatric oncology summer camp, that I decided to become a pediatric nurse practitioner.
I was so impressed by the bond between the families and nurse practitioners that I met; I hoped to be able to help families on their individual journeys in the same way.
I attended UC Berkeley, where I had a fantastic experience majoring in Integrative Biology and cheering on the Bears. After receiving my undergraduate degree at Cal, I hopped on a plane and moved to New York City to attend Columbia University. After graduating with my masters degree in nursing, I became certified as a pediatric nurse practitioner and pediatric mental health specialist.
I moved to Ft. Bragg, North Carolina, where my husband was stationed at the time. I joined a primary care pediatric practice, where I especially enjoyed caring for the children of military families.
I am excited to be back in the East Bay to care for children and families in my hometown. I also enjoy taking ballet class, biking, and spending time with friends and family. I look forward to meeting you!
